They need to add "this is a beta game" on the packaging for Guild Wars , since it appears that the game is being tested by paying customers on a daily basis.

Could this possibly have anything to do with the fact that there was a monster ban, for people being stupid while Gaile was on? An unexpected side effect or some such thing?

SO WRONG IT HURTS TO SEE THIS

they have stated many times and many sites that a rollback is full database wide and it is not possible to change/rollback individual accounts.

IT IS A GLITCH NOT A ROLLBACK

while i doubt they did individual rollbacks, this is a glitch that rolled back my account, so it is a rollback, whether intentional or not. what would you call a glitch that rolled back an account to a previous state?

Well glad to see its not just me. My was less severe. I bought 4 stacks to go with what i already had. Set myself on a ring for the night and went to sleep. Come back I'm at the login screen and thought hmm ok its been 10 hours, log to find my progress stopped where i went to bed. Only after did i check this thread did i look to see that my money was returned from those 4 stacks...Truely weird.

hmmmm, in the past they've said they can only do server-wide rollbacks and that's why they couldn't rollback if you get scammed...

Happened to me, too. Bought about 10k worth of tickets and stood on a ring before going to bed. Woke up to find the game minimized and on the character select screen. Got back into game and the Lucky/Unlucky titles were reset to what they were after the few rounds I watched before I went to bed. Still have my tickets, but since I expect the same thing to happen again if I try to AFK gamble tonight I'm reluctant to do so and would rather have my 10k back.

Some weirdness I did notice last night, though, was that when I tried to go to the highest numbered districts (23-25 at the time), it would always put my in AD 2. No mention of the districts being full or no longer existing, just the standard district switch process, but it put me in AD2 instead of the one I told it to. Don't remember what district I finally got into, but it was somewhere in the teens, so the problem doesn't seem to have been confined to AD1.

It's a glitch to be sure, as I had nothing to do with whatever banning occurred in Shing Jea, and I certainly wasn't cheating on the luck game. So I wasn't "rolled back" for any other reason. But data was rolled back. I was not lagging, so this was not "rubberband lag" on my part. Possibly it was "rubberband lag" on the servers part, but that would not make sense unless the hero screen with progress tracks is held on a seperate server from the actual data. In other words, the one server is reading the data from the other to show your title track.

Either that or it IS possible to have individual rollbacks, and as such this wasn't individual anyway. These were whole districts of people.

Its a glitch NOT a rollback. If it was a rollback, you would have gotten all your tickets back too.

its not even a glitch it just sounds like the server is dropping people due to high load from all the people afking in there and hasn't saved your data from the client in a little while. ANet's already said that they can't rollback individual accounts, there system is set up to do it. And like many people I've been afk overnight and all my stuff is intact. Sounds like you guys just had some bad luck =/

I did get all my tickets back. Everything reverted to the state it was 3 hours before. It WAS a roll back in that sense.

As for the server not saving the data, that would be an error with that server then, because data like luck titles, survivor titles, etc.. is instantaneous, and can't just be saved once in a long while. Say I had lost a survivor title during that time, I would just have suddenly had it back.

Yea I remember useing 57 Ghost-in a box at the same time, about 4-5 hours into the event, and after this "glitch" they were all back in my inventory.

Add me to the list of unsatisfied paying customers. I began buying tickets last night in dist 2 and 11 and got the roll back 3 freaking times. Each time my gold was returned but my titles were also reset.

This is not an isolated issue. Go into shing jea right now and ask around. Many people were disconnected.

I just want to know how people who have been rolled back can be expected to continue to participate in the weekend games when their progress keeps geting erased.

I've not submitted a ticket since we all know they'll send out a standard blah blah email and thats it, nothing more.

eh, im not even that upset. cause i got all my cash back, all i really lost was the time i spent afk (big loss, i was asleep). now im not going to play anymore, but i was never that into getting those titles anyway. just didnt have anything better to do last night, so i thought "might as well".

now if my progress had been reset, AND my cash still gone, then id be rather perturbed...

if you are on for a full24 hours it logs you off the game, so either you left the game on all night and then afk'ed for 3 or 4 hours and it added up to 24 hours of gameplay so.....
